Our nook/mud room – Mood Board

One of our new year’s resolutions is to figure out our nook. We’ve gone from having it as a breakfast nook to more of a mudroom area with some extra storage. We painted the walls earlier this summer so that the room flows better with the colours on the rest of the first floor. Now it is just figuring out the decor for the rest of the room. Here is what we’re thinking!
The wall is actually the greeny/gray colour and the floors are a light wood colour. Brightening things up with some sunny yellows/mustards will be a way to give some flare to the room while mirroring the bright light from all the windows. What do you think? Any suggestions?

Love the grey/green and yellow together. The bench is a great idea too; you always need a space to sit and the storage below is useful.
Looks great. The bench pillows would be great in the bold yellow and white chevron pattern.
Jennifer – thanks! I like the colour combo too! It’s funny, I never pick yellows for anything but I’m full on obsessed right now!
Emma – I love the chevron pattern as well. Do you think it would be too much for the curtains??
