Mini Paint Project – our back door

One of our mini summer  house projects was getting rid of the bright blue back door.  When we move in it was one of those random things that didn’t really match anything.  The back room or “nook” as we call it was originally a creamy, yellow colour and it had this crazy blue door.  We repainted since we didn’t love the colour but didn’t tackle the door.

Fast forward to this summer and the blue had to go.  We decided to go with a nice, glossy black.  Neutral enough but still snazzy.  I had no idea that there were so many shades of black.  After comparing paint chips we ended going with Onyx from Benjamin Moore.

Here is how it looks now:

Now I’m thinking we have to do something about some of those brown siding accents on the exterior but that will have to wait until next summer!
