Foto Friday – Valentine’s Etsy Favs
Are you planning on surprising your Valentine with a cute or cheeky card next Tuesday? I love most things stationary related and I couldn’t resist browsing the one-of-a-kind Valentine’s Day cards on Etsy. I’ve pulled together a couple of my favorites. Do you still send Valentine’s? I love getting cards in the mail or hand delivered and Valentine’s Day is the perfect day to do it. No need for a crazy gift – I’d be happy with any of these cards!

A HomeSlice Round Up
It has been a busy few weeks around here so I thought I’d share a round-up of the latest. About two weeks ago I attended Blog Podium, a fabulous blogger event put together by Lindsay from the Little House Blog, Jen from Rambling Renovators.

It was a chance to talk to other bloggers, learn from an awesome panel (Margot Austin, Senior Design Editor for House & Home Magazine, Kimberley Seldon Editor and Chief of Dabble Magazine, Kate Moore – Cityline Producer, Jennifer Flores – Published Blogger and Leigh Ann as the Moderator) and it gave me a chance to think about what is next for the HomeSlice. I can’t wait for the next event in May.
Right after Blog Podium it was vacation time – a week of this:

And now it is back to real life, the blog and some new projects. Right now we’re in the planning stages for a couple of things – we need to find some kind of curtains for the kitchen, decide if we’re moving forward with our bench for the nook and I need to take some photos of our finished bedroom so I can share the end result with you. All that and a few new things coming on the blog in the next little bit. Stay tuned!

Headboard Reveal
We’ve had our headboard for a little while now but I haven’t shared it on the blog until now because the bedroom is still a work in progress (almost done and will post the end result soon). I always debate on sharing projects before they are completely done but I couldn’t resist… I’ve included a few snapshots of the headboard a below. I’m really happy at how the it turned out – we wanted something white to contrast with our stripes. My favourite is the detailing along the edges. It’s nice to see how it went from a pile of fabric to the end result. And here it is….
